A few days back I sat with my friend Laura to plan a surprise 50th birthday party for my husband. It was something that we wanted to be unique and yet it would be something where I could gather my family as well as friends and make a memorable day for my special someone. Discussing about the 50th birthday party theme ideas we came across many beautiful themes and thus mingled a bit of all of these points to make up our own great party. Let me tell you people about the wonderful ideas we came across during this course. Landing in the teen years was a theme that we found to be a nice one. It spoke of the birthday celebration to encompass a theme where the entire setup would be like that going back in time to the early teen years of the person. Being sometime around the 50’s or 60’s the teen years can reflect the touch of that era. With the belle bottom pants to the stylized hair dress up; to the polka dots in the attires and yes indeed, the most important, the music. The entire atmosphere can be converted back to those glorious years and also provide the invitation of guests to endorse the theme in their attires and make up and thus give the party a fullness and a beauty of the celebration. The decorations can be simple yet very distinct, for example with miniature metal pots with flowers as centerpieces dispersed in the function area for adornment. For favors we had a choice of chocolates make with the aid of country patterns. It is a simple idea yet a very heart filling one. We even came across a simple and a very minute theme however it was indeed a special one. Since I was planning a surprise 50th birthday for my husband, I could take up themes from his favorites! Indeed what can be more special than doing his favorites on his 50th birthday celebrations? My husband was pretty fond of garden grills and fishing outings and thus it was something that we liked also. Even though fishing was something that we could not materialize, however we took in the garden grill theme from this idea. Taking a gifting idea from another theme we collaged a unique photo album for him having rare collection of his childhood photos, teenage photos, photos of his friends, college days, our wedding … It was just like the entire life so far being captured in a book, a book to hold fifty very precious years of his life and with all the precious moments captured and frozen in those photographs. Deciding the 50th birthday party theme ideas were not simple but as we looked into the various ideas available and consolidated them together, we indeed had our special own idea and thus had a great celebration that would linger in our memories forever.
