When making up teams try to have at least 3 different departments represented on each team People will get to know one another while working for a common goal. One Christmas game that requires a team is “balloon pass”. Teams of about 8 people form a straight line. The first person in line is given a balloon. Placing it under her chin she passes it to the next person and that person passes it, etc. No hands allowed. The leader moves to the end of the line, and so on. The winning team is the one whose lead person is the first to return to the front of the line. This game can be hilarious. Everyone will be laughing. Charades is a popular party game at any time of year, but can be fun if you are locked into a theme such as Christmas song titles, Christmas movies or Christmas TV specials. Another fun game would be musical chairs to Christmas music. Play several rounds then the winners of each round can play to name a Christmas musical chairs champion. Of course this isn’t a good idea if the guests have imbibed too much alcohol. Many companies have banned alcohol consumption at the workplace due to liability issues. If so your party would be dry.
