There was a toss up between a celebration based on jungle theme and a farmhouse festivity, but my son is so passionate for elephants that jungle theme was the ultimate decision.
And we, too had no objection because we all love jungle parties.
For making invitations, we scratched elephant head shapes from the gray construction paper.
I doubled the ears over to wrap the face and on the first ear I marked, "Have you heard?" On the other I wrote, "The King of the Forest" is turning two!
On each crease of the trunk I marked a different expression of the invite. Then we carefully purchased party supplies and focused on those that were particularly theme-based for jungle parties.
Our garden was pretty green, but not as chunky as a verdant jungle so we used almost twenty owned and on rent silk trees and potted flora and bunched them around inside the home, out on the terrace, and in the grass. For decorative supplies, we hung emerald streamers from the terrace roof and a large sign I made of a hippo in a watering outlet. I purchased one or two yards of special animal print fabrics and prepared tablecloths and homemade napkin supplies, for the meals and cake tables.
Children enjoyed playing on the jungle gym as well as riding on the terrace on a couple of jungle animal toy rides we had arranged. We took plenty of photos of children riding the special life-size animals and integrated prints in the thank you notes. I borrowed a lot of decorative supplies from my relatives and friends tat they might have used for their jungle parties.
Each and every guest got a little bit of safari objects I did use and you too can turn any place into a real tropical jungle if you are able to borrow enough.
